DS2000 Voice Mail Setup
Installation
Refer to your DS2000 Hardware Manual for instructions on setting
up analog ports for Voice Mail. Each Voice Mail port requires a cor-
responding analog port in your telephone system. Depending on
your installation requirements, your DS2000 system can use ASTU
PCBs or 2-OPX Modules for analog ports.
Refer to your Voice Mail manuals for the details on connecting
Voice Mail to the DS2000 analog ports.
Telephone System Programming
1801 - Extension Circuit Type
If you are using a 2-OPX Module (P/N 92177A only), assign circuit
type 21.
If you are using Analog Station (ASTU) PCB ports, assign circuit
type 15.
0510 - Hunt Group Number
Select an available UCD Hunting group (1-8) for Voice Mail.
0510 - Hunt Group Master Number
Assign an unused extension number as the Voice Mail Hunt Group
master number. Valid numbers are 100-899, excluding the extension
and trunk number range. For example, your master number cannot
be 308 or 401.
0201 - Voice Mail Installed
Enter Y.
0201 - Voice Mail Master Extension Number
Enter the master number you assigned in 0510 - Hunt Group
Master Number above.
1802 - Voice Mail Port
For each analog port connected to Voice Mail, enter Y. (These are the
ports you programmed in 1801 - Extension Circuit Type above.)
1807 - Hunt Type
For each analog port connected to Voice Mail, enter 5 (for UCD).
Press VOL and VOL to verify your entry.
1807 - Hunt Master Number
For each analog port connected to Voice Mail, enter the master exten-
sion number you assigned in 0201 - Voice Mail Master Extension
Number above. Press VOL and VOL to verify your entry.

Installation
Refer to your DS2000 Hardware Manual for instructions on setting

For each analog port connected to Voice Mail, enter 5 (for UCD).
Press VOL and VOL to verify your entry.
1807 - Hunt Master Number
For each analog port connected to Voice Mail, enter the master exten-
sion number you assigned in 0201 - Voice Mail Master Extension
Number above. Press VOL and VOL to verify your entry.
