Browser security
Security features may be requ
ired for some services, such
as banking services or
online shopping. For such
connections you need security
certificates and possibly a
security module, which may be
available on your SIM card.
For more information, contact your service provider.
To view or change the security module settings, or to view
a list of authority or user ce
rtificates downloaded to your
device, select
Menu >
Settings >
Security >
Security
module sett.
, Authority certificates, or
User
certificates
.
Important:
Even if the use of certificates makes the risks
involved in remote connect
ions and software installation
considerably smaller,
they must be used correctly in order
to benefit from increased se
curity. The existence of a
certificate does not offer an
y protection by itself; the
certificate manager must co
ntain correct, authentic, or
trusted certificates for increa
sed security to be available.
Certificates have a restrict
ed lifetime. If "Expired
certificate" or "Certificate not valid yet" is shown, eve
n if
the certificate should be valid, check that the current date
and time in your device are correct.
Before changing an
y certificate settings, you must make
sure that you really trust the owner of the certificat
e and
that the certificate really
belongs to the listed owner.
Maps
You can browse maps for different cities and countries,
search for addresses and poin
ts of interest
, plan routes
from one location to an
other, save locations as
landmarks, and send them to compatible devices.
Almost all digital cartog
raphy is inaccurate and
incomplete to some extent.
Never rely solely on the
cartography that you download for use in this device.
Note: Downloading content su
ch as maps, satellite
images, voice files, guides
or traffic information may
involve transmission of larg
e amounts of data (network
service).
Content such as satellite images, guides, weather a
nd
traffic information and relate
d services are generated by
third parties independent of
Nokia. The content may be
inaccurate and incomplete to
some extent and is subject
to availability. Never rely
solely on the aforementioned
