Storage Device Manager

General Information

This Utility lets you manage the printer’s hard disk and flash memory,

and download fonts, macros and firmware.

for Windows

Storage Device Manager (SDM) provides a means of managing

• The printer’s internal hard disk drive (standard): 20 GB

[partitioned as Common, PCL and PostScript].

• The printer’s flash memory (2 MB).

Using the software improves the internal performance of the printer.

The software provides a tool for downloading files from the computer

to the printer’s memory, including

• Overlays such as logos, addresses, etc.

• Graphic files

• Forms such as letterheads, invoices, etc.

NOTE

Storage Device Manager requires Microsoft Internet

Explorer 4.0 or higher to run.

The printer’s internal hard drive does not communicate

directly back to the Storage Device Manager software.

Any error messages appear on the printer display.

If things seems to be “stuck,” go to the printer and check the

display.
