Disengaging
the
upper
knife
Set
the
upper
knife
at
its
highest
position
by
turning
the
hand
wheel.
Press
against
retaining
screws
44
of
the
upper
knife
to
push
the
upper
knife
holder
fully
to
the
right.
To
do
this,
first
loosen
screw
36 of
the
upper
knife
lock
(see
page
18).
In
this
position,
turn
the
knurled
knob
clockwise
until
the
knife
holder
snaps
in.
Disengaging
the
overedge
looper
The
looper
disengaging
lever
is
loca
ted
behind
the
looper
cover.
Turn
the
hand
wheel
to
set
the
needle
bar
at
its
highest
position,
because
the
disengaging
lever
can
only
be
operated
in
this
position.
Pull
the
looper
disen
gaging
lever
fully
to
the
front.
Now
turn
the lever
away
from
the
standard
setting
into
cutout
1.
Now
the
ove
redge
looper,
right
looper
31
is
disena
ged.
