MAINTENANCE AND LUBRICATION
Lubrication Recommendations
Oil and F ilter Ch ange
Magnum 330 2x4, Magnum 330 4x4, Trail Boss
1. Position the vehicle on a level
surface.
2. Clean the area around the drain
plug (1).
3. Run the engine for two to three
minutes until warm. Stop the
engine.
4. Place a drain pan beneath the engine crankcase and remove the
drain plug.
5. Allow the oil to drain completely.
6. Install a new sealing washer on t he drain plug. NOTE: The
sealing surfaces on the drain plug and crankcase should be clean
and free of burrs, nicks or scratches.
7. Reinstall the drain plug and torque to 14 ft. l bs. (19 Nm).
8. Place shop towels beneath the oil filter. Using an oil filter wrench,
turn the filter counterclockwise to remove.
9. Using a clean, dry cloth, clean the filter sealing surface on the
crankcase.
10. Lubricate t he gasket on the new filter with a film of engine oil.
Check to make sure the gasket is in good condition.
11. Install the new filter and turn by hand until the filter gasket
contacts the sealing surface, then turn and additional 1/2 turn.

Contact with hot oil may result in serious burns. Do not allow hot
oil to come into contact with skin.
