INSTALLATION
OPTION GG – For Buses Without Tapping Plate
QUANTUM® Backrest Stanchion Support MUST be installed with a maximum 45 Degree from horizontal.
1. Carefully puncture the 2 outer holes on the top backside of the QUANTUM® Backrest.
2. Align the 2 holes on the Adjustable Cup Fitting with the holes on the Backrest.
3. Insert 2 screws through the washers, Adjustable Cup Fitting and Backrest, then tighten the screws.
4. Insert the Tube Stanchion into the Adjustable Cup Fitting and align the 2 holes with the holes on the Adjustable Cup Fitting.
5. Secure it in place by inserting the Sleeve Screw and Nut, then tightening it.
6. Remove the 2 screws in the Overhead Grab Rail.
7. Insert the Tube Stanchion into the Overhead Grab Rail.
Tube Stanchion may need to be sized and cut to fit.
8. Place the Overhead Grab Rail around the Bus Stanchion.
9. Secure the Overhead Grab Rail by inserting the 2 screws and tightening them.
10. Secure the Adjustable Cup Fitting in place by tightening the Lock-Nut around the Bolt.
