Introduction
This manual describes the service and maintenance procedures for the Raymarine type S1 and S1G Course Computer.
General description
The Course Computer processes information from the sensors in the autopilot system so it can steer the boat using the drive
unit. The Course Computer assembly consists of a plastic case, a printed circuit board (PCB). The PCB carries a
microprocessor, electronic circuitry to control the drive unit, a power amplifier for the drive motor and a connector block for
all inputs and outputs.
