1.) The gas supply piping must be adequately
supported and aligned to minimize loads (forc-
es) on the water heater’s gas valve and burner
system.
2.) Refer to local codes for installation guidelines
for the Thermal Expansion Tank (if required).
A manual valve, union, and
a sediment trap shall be
provided in front of the gas
valve. All gas piping must
conform to local codes and/
or the National Fuel Gas Code
