Preparing for Recording
1.
Select an empty song (p. 21).
When this unit starts up, song number 001 is loaded.
If you want to record a new song, select an empty song (INIT
SONG).
2. Select the tone that you want to play (p. 11).
3. Save the studio set (p. 18).
Save the studio set so that the tone you selected for recording will
be remembered.
* If you don’t save the studio set that you used while recording,
the song plays using the tone that had been selected before
saving.
4. Turn the [TEMPO] knob to specify the tempo of the song.
Recording
This unit lets you instantly enter the record-standby state just by
pressing the [ ] button.
Content you record using single play (the part 1 tone) is recorded
on track 1.
1. Press the [ ] button.
The [ ] button blinks; this unit is in the record-standby state.
The Realtime Rec Standby window appears.
2. Press the [ ] button.
After a one-measure count, recording starts.
3. Play the keyboard.
4. When you’ve nished recording, press the [ ] button.
The [ ] button goes dark, and recording ends.
Recording on Another Track
Next, let’s record your performance on another track so that the
sounds will be heard together.
In this example we explain how to record on track 2.
Selecting a tone for track 2
1.
Simultaneously press the [DUAL] button and the [SPLIT]
button to select the multi part play state.
The multi part play screen appears.
MEMO
If you simultaneous press the [DUAL] button and the [SPLIT]
button once again, you’ll return to the single play state.
2. Move the cursor to the tone of part 2, and use the dial to
select a tone.

3. Save the studio set (p. 18).
