Performing with Sound from a Portable
Audio Player
You can perform along with sound from a portable audio player, CD player, sampler, or other external device. You can also
modify the sound of the external device.
Connections
1. Connect your portable audio player or other
device to the GAIA SH-01’s top panel EXT IN jack.

* When connection cables with resistors are used, the
volume level of equipment connected to the inputs
EXT IN jack may be low. If this happens, use connection
cables that do not contain resistors.

Adjusting the Volume
1. Switch on the power of the portable audio player
or other device that’s connected to the EXT IN
jack, and raise the volume to an appropriate level.
2. While producing sound from the device that’s
connected to the EXT IN jack, turn the [LEVEL]
knob to an appropriate volume.
The sound from the device connected to the EXT IN jack
will be output from the OUTPUT jacks and the PHONES
jack.
