Error Codes
Error codes are shown on the main display. There are three types of error:
– Dynamic errors are indicated until the error is corrected, by an error code (e.g. inf 01).
– Temporary errors are indicated for 2 seconds (e.g., inf 07)
– "Fatal" errors are displayed continuously (e.g., err101) until the indicator is switched off and back on again.

Err 340 Operating parameter (EEPROM) error Turn the weighing instrument off, then
back on again.
If this error code remains displayed, please
contact your local Sartorius Service Center
Err 341 Data lost from RAM, Leave the weighing instrument power
battery needs to be recharged on for at least 10 hrs.
Err 343 Loss of data in the memory area for transaction Contact your local
numbers in external Alibi memory modules Sartorius Service Center
Inf 01 Data output not compatible with Change the configuration
output format in the Setup menu
Inf 02 Calibration/adjustment condition Calibrate only when zero is displayed
not met, e.g.,
– the weighing instrument was not tared Press ) to tare

Inf 03 Calibration/adjustment could not Allow the weighing instrument to warm up

Inf 08 The load on the weighing instrument Check whether “tare/zero with power on”
is too heavy to zero the readout is set (1.12)
Inf 09 Taring is not possible when the gross weight is < zero Zero the weighing instrument
Inf 10 Tare key is blocked when there The data stored for the application
is data in the tare memory program (Combics 2 only) must be deleted
(clear the memory) before taring.
Inf 18 Preload is too light
Inf 19 Preload is too heavy
Inf 29 Minimum load not reached Define a lower value for the minimum load
(in the Application settings, under 3.6)
Inf 30 BPI ID (BPI byte) in active weighing Restore factory settings for
instrument not deleted (cannot deactivate device parameters in the active
XBPI mode in COM1) weighing instrument
Inf 31 Interface handshake not completed Send XON, CTS
Inf 71 Cannot store the current weight value None
(e.g., if control limits are too low or too high)
Inf 72 Cannot store the current weight value (e.g., None
the transaction counter has reached its limit)
