Expansion, parameter assignment, maintenance and servicing
of the device
Open the device.
Opening and expanding the device is not permitted
Unauthorized modifications to the device that are not performed by Siemens personnel can disrupt operation, damage the
device or, in the worst case scenario, cause a fire.
• Therefore, do not open the device.
• Do not remove the back panel or expansion.
• In case of repair, the device must be shipped to the Siemens Return Center.
Cleaning the Device Front
The device is designed for low-maintenance operation. You should still clean the device front regularly, however.
Unwanted reactions when cleaning the device
You risk unintentional actuation of control elements if you clean the device while it is switched on.
You may possibly trigger unwanted actions of the device or controller that are liable to cause personal injury or damage to
the machinery.
Always switch off the device before you clean it.
Cleaning Agents
Damage to the HMI device caused by impermissible cleaning agents
Impermissible and unsuitable cleaning agents may cause damage to the HMI device.
Clean the enclosure surface with a damp cloth and make sure that no water enters the device.
