– which decision times are provided for the operator to detect a combined threat image* and a single threat
object (decision time - combined images and - threat objects - F 2-58).
– which additional decision times the operator is given to detect a combined threat image and a single
threat object, if he has stopped the conveyors in time (additional decision time - combined images and -
threat objects - F 2-58).
– whether the projected objects shall be displayed with markings of automatic detection functions (display
object markings - F 2-59).
– whether feedbacks are sent to the operator when he marks real objects (feedback when marking real
objects* - F 2-59).
– whether messages for aborted projections shall be displayed in yellow or blue (Message color of aborted
projections - F 2-60).
In addition to that, enter the location of the X-ray unit (F 2-57). This information is required for the different
TIP reports.
The TIP menu
Use the navigator to go to menu item TIP Threat Image
Projection in the Main menu and activate the menu item.
The menu illustrated is displayed.
How to activate the TIP system*
In the last menu item Enable TIP projections you define whether threat images and threat objects are pro-
jected or not during the operational flow by the TIP system.

If the configuration of the TIP system is provided
to be made via the Heimann Management Con-
sole* HMC, only the menu items Import adaptive
threat image library* and Enable TIP projections
are available. All other settings are done via the
Heimann Management Console.
