Camera IP Setup
Command
The following command is provided for setting
the IP address and camera name of a camera.
To set the network settings of a camera, use the
f
ollowing sequence.
Connect the computer used for configuring to
the
same network segment as the cameras.
1 Inquiry
The controller sends inquiry packets to UDP
b
roadcast address (255.255.255.255) on the
specified port number (52380). The camera
responds using inquiry response packets.
2 Network settings
The controller sends network setting packets
t
o UDP broadcast address (255.255.255.255)
on the specified port number (52380). The
camera refers to the MAC address units in
the packets and if the packets are a request
to itself, the camera returns an
acknowledgment (ACK) in the network
settings response.
If the camera configuration is unsuccessful,
i
t returns NACK in the network settings
response.

Notes
• Up to 8 characters comprising alphanumeric
characters or spaces can be used for the
camera name (NAME).
• When the WRITE data in the inquiry response is

t to off, you cannot change the camera IP
address and camera name in the network
settings.
• After power to the unit is first turned on, WRITE
is se
t to off automatically after 20 minutes, at
which point the network settings are no longer
accepted.
