Limiting the Volume from the
Headphones
You can limit the headphones volume level to protect your hearing and to
reduce sound leaking into the environment around you.
Press and hold BACK.
The HOME menu appears.
Press /// to select (Settings), and then press .
The list of setup options appears.
Press / to select “AVLS (Vol. Limit),” and then press .
Press / to select “On,” and then press .
AVLS* is now on, limiting the headphones volume.
* AVLS is an abbreviation of the Automatic Volume Limiter System.
To cancel AVLS (Vol. Limit)
1 Select “Off” in step

The headphone volume level is no longer limited, returning control to the
player’s volume settings.
