N Start the engine and check the
adjustment.
N Shut down the engine and repeat
adjustment if necessary.
Maintenance work
STIHL recommends that maintenance
and repair work be carried out only by
STIHL servicing dealers.
Fuel pickup body in tank
N Check the pickup body in the fuel
tank annually and replace it when
necessary
The pickup body should rest in the area
of the tank indicated in the drawing.
Spark arresting screen in muffler and
spacer
N If engine performance deteriorates,
have the spark arresting screen (1)
in the muffler checked
N Check spacer (2) for damage
N Have a damaged spacer (2)
replaced immediately
Antivibration elements
Four antivibration elements (arrows) for
damping vibrations are installed
between the engine and the drive tube.
Have them checked in the event of
noticeable, constantly increased
vibration.
Both vibration gaps (arrows) of the
antivibration system are set to a fixed
dimension at the factory and are equally
wide. If there is a large difference
