– Mowing grass which is too long or too
wet.
Remedy:
– Replace mowing blade. (Ö 12.4)
– Adapt cutting height and mowing speed
to mowing conditions. (Ö 10.), (Ö 8.5)
Fault:
Poor cut, lawn turning yellow
Possible cause:
– Blade is blunt or worn.
– Mowing speed is too high in relation to
cutting height.
Remedy:
– Sharpen or replace blade (Ö 12.6),
(Ö 12.4), #
– Reduce mowing speed and/or select
correct cutting height (do not work at
lowest cutting height). (Ö 8.5), (Ö 11.3)
Fault:
Engine overheating.
Possible cause:
– Oil level in engine too low.
– Cooling ribs dirty.
Remedy:
– Change engine oil. (Ö 7.6)
– Clean cooling ribs. (Ö 12.2)
Fault:
No drive when self-propulsion lever is
actuated.
Possible cause:
– Self-propulsion cable incorrectly
adjusted.
– Self-propulsion cable defective (e.g.
kinked).
– V-belt worn.
– Gearbox defective.
Remedy:
– Check cable adjustment. (Ö 12.7)
– Replace cable. #
–Replace V-belt.#
– Replace gearbox. #
Fault:
Vario drive speed control not functioning.
Possible cause:
– Vario drive lever moved in wrong
direction.
– Vario drive cable disengaged or
damaged (e.g. kinked).
Remedy:
– Move Vario drive lever in correct
direction. (Ö 11.3)
– Attach or replace Vario drive cable. #
Fault:
Excessive vibration during operation
Possible cause:
– Blade fastening screw loose.
– Blade imbalance due to incorrect
sharpening or fracture.
– Cutting unit defective.
– Engine mounting loose.
Remedy:
– Tighten blade fastening screw. (Ö 12.4)
– Re-sharpen (balance) or replace blade.
(Ö 12.5), (Ö 12.6), #
– Check blade, blade shaft and blade
fastening and repair if necessary. #
– Tighten engine mounting bolts. #
