Demo XVI: FilterVu (MSO/DPO2000)
This demo covers the FilterVu feature of the MSO2 000 and DPO2000. F ilterVu pro vides a variable low-pass filter, allowing you to
take unwanted noise out of your signal while still capturing high-frequency events such as narrow glitches. It does this by showing
two w aveforms, a foreground waveform that you can filter and a b ackground, glitch-captu re, min-max sampled waveform.
FilterVu’s foreground filtered waveform:
Reveals characteristics of your signal previously overshadowed by noise
More precisely locates signal edges and amplitude levels, increasing your confidence in cursor measurements
Blocks out high frequency components of your signal that could cause your oscilloscope to alias
FilterVu’s background glitch-capture waveform shows signal attribute s up to the full bandwidth of the oscilloscope, enabling you to
capture glitches as narrow as 5 ns.
