Update/Restore the μATX
Board CMOS
If the CMOS para
meters become corrupted, restore the CMOS memory using one
of the following procedures:
CAUTION. Install only CMOS parameters from Tektronix. CMOS parameters
from other manufactures may make your instrument inoperable.
If you cannot restore the CMOS memory, replace the battery.
Restore the CMOS as follows:
1. Press the F
2 key during reboot to enter the BIOS SETUP UTILITY.
2. In the BIOS SETUP UTILITY, press the F9 key.
3. Press the Enter key to Load Optimal Defaults.
4. In the BIOS SETUP UTILITY, press the F10 key.
5. Press the Enter keytoSaveconfiguration changes and exit.
Installing an Authorization
Key
If you a
dd new options, you must install a new authorization key. Install the
authorization key using the following procedure:
1. From t
he instrument menu bar, touch the Utilities menu, select Option
Installation,andthentouchContinue.
2. Enter the new key using an attached keyboard.
3. Touc
h Continue.
Hard Disk Drive Repair
Use the same procedures to maintain the instrument hard disk drive that you use
to maintain a hard disk drive in a personal computer.
Using ScanDisk, you may be able to repair the disk without destroying data on the
disk. To use ScanDisk, perform the following steps:
1. Remove the hard disk drive from the instrument.
2. Install the hard disk drive into a personal computer.
3. Power on the computer and run ScanDis k. Set ScanDisk to perform a
thorough surface scan and to automatically fix errors.
