Signal Path Compensation
Signal P ath Compensation (SPC) corrects for DC inaccuracies caused by temperature variations and/or long-term drift. Run the
compensation whenever the ambient temperature has changed by more than 10 °C or once a week if you use vertical settings of
5 mV/division or less. Failure to do so may result in the instrument not meeting warranted performance levels at those volts/div
settings.
To compensate the signal path:
1. Warm up the oscilloscope for at least
20 minute s. Remove all input signals (probes
and cables) from channel inputs. Input signals
with AC components adversely affect SPC.
