Ifyouwishtostorethemachineforalongperiodof
time,thefollowingstepsshouldbeperformedpriorto
storage:
1.Removeaccumulationsofdirtandoldgrassclippings.
Sharpenthereelsandbedknives,ifnecessary;refer
totheCuttingUnitOperator'sManual.Usearust
preventiveonbedknivesandreelblades.Greaseand
oilalllubricationpoints;refertoLubrication.
2.Blockupthewheelstoremoveanyweightonthe
tires.
3.Drainandreplacethehydraulicuidand
lterandinspectthehydrauliclinesand
ttings.Replace,ifnecessary;referto
ChangingtheHydraulicOilandFilter(page44)and
CheckingtheHydraulicLinesandHoses(page44).
4.Allfuelshouldberemovedfromthefueltank.Run
theengineuntilitstopsfromlackoffuel.Replace
thefuellter;referto
ServicingtheFilter(page38).
5.Whiletheengineisstillwarm,draintheoilfrom
thecrankcase.Rellitwithfreshoil;referto
ChangingtheEngineOilandFilter(page37).
6.Cleandirtandchafffromthecylinder,cylinderhead
ns,andblowerhousing.
7.Removethebatteryandchargeitfully.Eitherstore
itontheshelforonthemachine.Leavethecables
disconnectedifitisstoredonthemachine.Store
thebatteryinacoolatmospheretoavoidquick
deteriorationofthechargeinthebattery.
8.Ifpossible,storethemachineinawarm,drylocation.
