ConnectingtheHydraulicHoses
Iftheattachmentrequireshydraulicsforoperation,
connectthehydraulichosesasfollows:
1.Stoptheengine.
2.Movetheauxiliaryhydraulicsleverforward,
backward,andbacktoneutraltorelievepressure
atthehydrauliccouplers.
3.Movetheauxiliaryhydraulicsleverforwardintothe
detentposition.
4.Removetheprotectivecoversfromthehydraulic
couplersonthetractionunit.
5.Ensurethatallforeignmatteriscleanedfromthe
hydraulicconnectors.
6.Pushtheattachmentmaleconnectorintothefemale
connectoronthetractionunit.
Note:Whenyouconnecttheattachmentmale
connectorrst,youwillrelieveanypressurebuiltup
intheattachment.
WARNING
Hydraulicuidescapingunderpressurecan
penetrateskinandcauseinjury.Fluidinjected
intotheskinmustbesurgicallyremovedwithin
afewhoursbyadoctorfamiliarwiththisform
ofinjuryorgangrenemayresult.
•Keepyourbodyandhandsawayfrompin
holeleaksornozzlesthatejecthighpressure
hydraulicuid.
•Usecardboardorpapertondhydraulic
leaks,neveruseyourhands.
CAUTION
Hydrauliccouplers,hydrauliclines/valves,and
hydraulicuidmaybehot.Ifyoucontacthot
componentsyoumaybeburned.
•Weargloveswhenoperatingthehydraulic
couplers.
•Allowthetractionunittocoolbefore
touchinghydrauliccomponents.
•Donottouchhydraulicuidspills.
7.Pushtheattachmentfemaleconnectorintothe
maleconnectoronthetractionunit.
8.Conrmthattheconnectionissecurebypulling
onthehoses.
9.Movetheauxiliaryhydraulicslevertoneutral.
RemovinganAttachment
1.Lowertheattachmenttotheground.
2.Stoptheengine.
3.Disengagethequickattachpinsbyturningthem
totheoutside.
4.Iftheattachmentuseshydraulics,movetheauxiliary
hydraulicsleverforward,backward,andbackto
neutraltorelievepressureatthehydrauliccouplers.
5.Iftheattachmentuseshydraulics,slidethecollar
backonthehydrauliccouplersanddisconnectthem.
Important:Connecttheattachment
hosestogethertopreventhydraulicsystem
contaminationduringstorage.
6.Installtheprotectivecoversontothehydraulic
couplersonthetractionunit.
7.Starttheengine,tiltthemountplateforward,and
backthetractionunitawayfromtheattachment.
SecuringtheTractionUnitfor
Transport
Whentransportingthetractionunitonatrailer,always
usethefollowingprocedure:
Important:Donotoperateordrivethetraction
unitonroadways.
1.Lowertheloaderarms.
2.Stoptheengine.
3.Securethetractionunittothetrailerwithchainsor
strapsusingthetie-down/liftloops(
Figure6)to
securetherearofthetractionunitandtheloader
arms/mountplatetosecurethefrontofthetraction
unit.
AdjustingtheThighSupport
Toadjustthethighsupport(Figure23),loosenthe
knobsandraiseorlowerthesupportpadtothedesired
height.Youcanalsoobtainadditionaladjustmentby
looseningthenutsecuringthepadtotheadjustment
plate,movingtheplateupordownasneeded.Tighten
allfastenerssecurelywhennished.
