Connecting to a Power Source
T o reduce the risk of electric shoc k, this appliance has a polarized
plug (i.e ., one blade is wider than the other). Use only a polarized,
UL listed (CSA cer tified in Canada) extension cord recommended
for outdoor use . A polarized plug will fit in a polarized cord only
one w a y . If the plug does not fit fully in the cord, rev erse the cord.
If it still does not fit, purc hase a polarized extension cord. If y ou
ha v e a polarized extension cord and the extension cord plug does
not fit fully into the w all rece ptacle , rev erse the plug . If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
Do not c hang e the appliance or extension cord plug in any w a y .
Use only an extension cord recommended for outdoor use .
If y ou do not full y seat the extension cord on the inlet
plug , or if the plug and cord do not fit fir ml y , the loose
plug could lead to o v erheating and cause a fir e, possibl y
bur ning y ou or other s.
• Ensur e that y ou full y seat the cord on the plug .
• Check the connection r egular l y to ensur e that the
cord is fir ml y attached.
