TROUBLE SHOOTING
Caution: Viking Spas have slide type water shut off valves referred to as Gate Valves. The spa should never
be operated with the Gate Valves in the closed position, as this will cause severe damage to the pump and/
or heater.
Situation
Spa Will Not Heat
Pump Will Not Prime or
Function
Improper wiring to spa
Water level in spa too
low
Is this a new installation
with trapped air?
If not, has the spa been
drained and refilled?
Is there proper water
flow?
Check For Air Lock
Gate Valves Closed
Contact Your Authorized Spa Retailer for Service.
Open bleed plug on face of pump and cycle pump
to high speed for approximately 30 seconds.
Make sure water level three quarters of the way on
the skimmer opening.
Make sure both Gate Valves are open and filter is
clean.
