Operating
the
radio
1 - On/Off switch
The knob serves:
Switching on/off.
Volume control.
Automatic station search.
Frequency search.
Station search sensitivity.
On/Off,
Volume control
Turn the knob to
switch
the
radio on and
off
and
control
the
volume.
At the
same
time,
the
automatic aerial,
if
fitted, will
ex-
tend.
The
frequency tuned
in
before
the
radio was last switched
off
will be received.
If the
radio
is on
when
the key is
removed
from
the
ignition,
it
automatically switches
off.
If
the key is put or turned in the ignition lock,
the radio switches
on
automatically.
With the ignition key removed, the radio can
be
switched back on
by briefly pressing
the knob or by
switching
off and on
again. It
will switch
off
again automatically
after approx. 1 hour. This process can
be
re-
peated
as
often
as is
required.
When
the
unit
is
switched
off, a
flashing
LED
indicates
that
the
radio
is
equipped
with
an
activated Anti-Theft
Code.
If
the radio
unit
makes no noise after switch-
ing
on
and
"SAFE"
is
shown
in the
display,
please
refer
to the
operating notes
as of
page
13.
