5A Removing the external
components
217. Remove the oil dipstick, oil dipstick tube,
alternator and the cooling water pipe. Tool width for
alternator wires: 10 and 18 mm.
218. Remove the distributor. Tool width: 13 mm and
the fuel pump, Allen-head key 6 mm.
219. Remove the control bracket, ignition coil and
the oil trap. Tool width: 13 mm.
220. Remove the starter motor. Tool width: 19 mm.
221. Remove the coolant circulation pump. Tool
width: 10 mm. If the pump has been damaged, the
pump must be replaced as a unit, except for the pul-
ley which can be re-used.
222. Remove the oil filter. Watch out for oil spillage!
