Maintenance: Freshwater system
Draining the freshwater system
1. Remove the filler cap on the expansion tank (to al-
low the coolant to run out faster).
2. Connect a hose to the draining nipple and open the
tap, let the water run out into a suitable receptacle.
NOTE! Leave the old coolant to a facility for destruc-
tion.
Checking the coolant level
WARNING! Stop the engine and allow it to cool
before opening the filler cap. Steam or hot coolant
may spurt out. Hot oil and hot surfaces can cause
burns.
1. Turn the filler cap slowly counter clockwise and let
any pressure escape from the system before re-
moving the cap.
2. The coolant level should be between the MAX and
MIN marking on the expansion tank, when the en-
gine is cold.
3. Top up coolant if necessary. Reinstall the filler cap.
