Installation Guide
Overview
This document describes how to configure the Xerox Secure Access Unified ID System
®
with a USB card reader. The USB card reader is connected directly to the USB port on
the Xerox machine. When the USB card reader is connected to the machine, a traditional
card reading device is no longer required.
Prerequisites
• Xerox Secure Access unified solution: Xerox Secure Access server software version
4.1.0.3287 or higher
• Equitrac
®
provider and libraries for USB card reader: EqXCPProvider,
LibforEqXCPProvider
• Support card and cards readers: Please see Xerox Secure Access documentation on
supported card and card readers
• Configuration: SSL (Secure Socket Layer) has to be enabled
Note
Extensible service setup has to be enabled if the EIP application is used.
Installation
Connecting the USB card reader
Two USB ports are located on the back of the Xerox machine. The two USB ports are
located next to each other.
Insert the USB connection from the card reader into the USB port on the right side.
