12.1.2 Combinations of symbols
The following combinations of symbols have meanings of their own.
Symbols Meaning
4 + 6 + 7
The 90-day use-by period for the test strip
drum has expired (see Chapter 2.3.1). The
test strips cannot be used.
Insert a new test strip drum.
You must not use these test strips,
as they may produce incorrect
results. Incorrect results can cause
the wrong therapeutic decision to
be taken and so produce serious
adverse health effects.
4 + 6
See symbol combination 4 + 6 + 7
After the symbol combination 4 + 6 + 7
appeared, you performed a performance
check, so the bottle symbol is no longer
displayed.
