INTRODUCTION
This document contains information needed to write interface code for the Aprilaire Model 8800 Communicating Thermostat. For wiring and
thermostat setup refer to the 8800 System Installation Manual (RPC part no. 10009416).
PROTOCOL
The proprietary ASCII protocol is for communication between a Host controller and up to 64 Model 8800 Communicating Thermostats. The
protocol is based upon the Model 8870 Communicating Thermostat protocol, but has an expanded command set to utilize the additional features
of the Model 8800 Communicating Thermostat.
