Exhaust gases contain carbon
monoxide, which is extremely
noxious if inhaled.
Avoid starting the vehicle in closed or
badly-ventilated rooms.
The non-observance of this warning
could cause loss of consciousness or
even lead to death by asphyxia. Do not
get on the vehicle for the starting.
ELECTRIC STARTING
Before starting the vehicle, position it on
the stand.
Turn the ignition switch (1) to position
"
n".
Lock at least one wheel, by pulling the
brake lever (2).
If this operation is not carried out, the
start relay receives no current and there-
fore the engine does not start.
Press the start push button (3) without
accelerating, then release it as soon as
the engine starts.
When the start push button "
r "
is pressed, the mixer oil reserve
warning light "
j" comes on.
When the engine is running and the
start push button "
r" has been re-
leased, the mixer oil reserve warning
light "
j" must go off; if it does not go
off, provide for topping up, see p. 24
(MIXER OIL TANK).
If the starting takes place with cold en-
gine, rotate the cold start lever "
e" (4)
downwards.
Do not press the start push but-
ton"
r" (3) with the engine on:
this may damage the starter.
Keep the accelerator closed and the
brake levers pressed until departure.
Warm the engine up before moving off.
Once the engine has warmed up, rotate
the cold start lever "
e" (4) upwards.
