CHECKING AND TOPPING UP
Proceed as follows:
◆
Position the vehicle on the stand.
◆
Unscrew and remove the screw (1).
◆
Remove the front cover (2), by pulling it
downwards.
◆
Make sure that the level of the fluid con-
tained in the expansion tank (3) is includ-
ed between the "MIN" and "MAX"
notches (see figure).
◆
If not, unscrew and remove the filling cap
(4).
◆
Top up until the fluid reaches approx. the
"MAX" notch.
Do not exceed this level, otherwise the
fluid will flow out of the tank when the en-
gine is running.
◆
Put back the filling cap (4).
◆
Put back the front cover (2).
◆
Tighten the screw (1).
In case of excessive consump-
tion of coolant and in case the
tank remains empty, make sure
that there are no leaks in the circuit.
Have it repaired by an APRILIA Official
Dealer.
