Memory use
The memory card is split into various different
areas for each operating mode by the system
(Drive, Park, Event). In each memory area, the
oldest recording is overwritten by the newest
one, in each case. So you should secure the data
immediately if anything has happened. You can
download the data to your smartphone via the
ACE App or you can remove the SD card (after
switching the device off) to prevent overwriting
the files. If you process the SD card on a PC, and
then reuse it with the camera, the SD card will be
formatted. That is to say, all existing videos will be
deleted!
Occasionally the system will ask you to
format the SD card. This happens to prevent
performance restrictions by defragmenting. If
this happens, you have 10 seconds to push
the Power button to start the formatting. The
duration depends on the size of the SD card.
As an alternative, you can also use the “SD
Formatting” function via the App.
Switching on and off
manually
You switch the system on by pressing the ON/
OFF button briefly.
You switch it off by an extended push (minimum
3 seconds).
