Battery
General instructions
Correct upkeep, recharging and
storage will prolong the life of the
12 V battery and are essential if
warranty claims are to be con-
sidered.
Compliance with the points be-
low is important in order to max-
imise the life of the 12 V battery:
Keep the surface of the battery
clean and dry.
Always comply with the notes
set out below when charging
the 12 V battery:
ATTENTION
Vehicle electronics (e.g.
clock) discharging the
connected 12 V battery
12 V battery is fully discharged;
this voids the guarantee
Connect a float charger to the
12 V battery if the vehicle is
to remain out of use for more
than four weeks.
ATTENTION
Charging the connected 12
V battery via the battery ter-
minals
Damage to the vehicle electron-
ics
Disconnect the 12 V battery
at the battery terminals before
charging.
ATTENTION
Recharging a fully dis-
charged 12 V battery via the
12 V power socket
Damage to the vehicle electron-
ics
If a 12 V battery has
discharged to the extent
that it is completely flat
(battery voltage less than
9 V, status-indicator lights
and multifunction display
remain off when the ignition
is switched on) it has to be
disconnected from the on-
board circuits and re-charged
with the charger connected
directly to the battery posts.
Charging 12 V battery
The E-Scooter is neither drive-
ready nor operationally ready.
Check whether the 12 V battery
is flat:
