Damping must be adapted to suit
the surface on which the motor-
cycle is ridden and to suit spring
preload.
An uneven surface requires
softer damping than a smooth
surface.
An increase in spring preload
requires firmer damping, a re-
duction in spring preload re-
quires softer damping.
Adjusting front rebound
stage
Make sure the ground is level
and firm and place the motor-
cycle on its stand.
Use adjusting screws 1 on left
and right to adjust the rebound
stage. Make sure that the set-
tings are identical on left and
right.
If you want to increase damp-
ing, use a screwdriver to turn
the adjusting screws on left
and right in the + direction.
If you want to reduce damping,
use a screwdriver to turn the
adjusting screws on left and
right in the - direction.

as far as it will go in the "+"
direction, then back it off 12
