Maintenance schedules
The maintenance schedule
for your motorcycle depends
on the equipment fitted, and
on the motorcycle's age and
the distance it has covered. A
current maintenance sched-
ule is included in the Repair
Manual on DVD/CD-ROM,
and is available on request
from your authorised BMW
Motorrad dealer.
Maintenance work for
sporty off-roading
Sporty off-roading, particu-
larly in muddy, sandy and wet
terrain, can result in above-
average wear of compon-
ents such as the drivetrain,
the suspension and running
gear, and the brakes. Con-
sequently, wear parts might
require maintenance and re-
placement sooner than as
stated in the standard main-
tenance schedule. See the
"Maintenance Instructions for
Sporty Off-roading" for de-
tails.
Please bear in mind that if the
motorcycle is used for sporty
off-roading, you must comply
with these additional mainten-
ance instructions in order to
ensure correct operability of
the motorcycle.
