TROUBLESHOOTING
1. When the EX-1280C is rst powered up and fully booted, you should see the display below on the
front panel. This panel indicates the rmware versions for all of the installed PCB’s. If you cannot see a
rmware version for a particular PCB, that means that the unit’s rmware is not seeing that board and
may indicate a fault with that particular board. From the front panel, select VERSION INFO.
VERSION INFO displays the version number of the installed software and/or rmware for the
following components of the EX1280C:
• FW
• DSP
AEC
• PSTN
• Dante
• Kernel
• VoIP
Num Ch displays the number of available Dante audio channels.
2. Once the unit is fully booted, the LED to the left of the display should be lit WHITE. If it is RED, it
usually indicates that either the loaded design le has an error or there is another problem. Open the
ControlSpace Designer software, load the EX-1280C_CSD_test_le.csp design le. Click SEND TO
DEVICES. If the test le loads successfully, the LED should turn WHITE. If it remains RED, the unit will
need further troubleshooting.
3. Refer to the table below for common issues.

are not showing solid red or flashing red. If they are, reduce the input pre-gain setting to
where the input is no longer clipping (red).
Using ControlSpace Designer software, verify that the audio output signal indicator blocks
are not solid red or flashing red. If they are, and the input indicators are green, use the
Designer software to reduce the output gain or any intermediary gain in the signal path.
If the input source signal is clean when it enters the system, and the input and output
indicators are green, verify that the loudspeakers are not being overdriven and are not
damaged.

correctly:
If not using a DHCP server, the IP address of the PC should be set manually to an unused
IP address (e.g. 192.168.0.10).
The default IP Subnet mask is set to 255.255.255.0.
Check firewall settings on the PC, unblock all ports.
