Feed Rollers
The purpose of the feed rollers is to compress the crop before it enters the chopping cylinder.
The feed roller speed is adjusted using the manual gearbox to achieve the required chop length.
Bottom Plate
When harvesting whole crop or maize,
the grain collection plate (1) needs to be
tted underneath the feed rollers to stop
any grains from falling out under the machine.
This needs to be removed for grass harvesting.
Plastic Strips
It is advisable to remove the Teon strips
off the upper feed roller during maize harvest.
This will allow optimal feeding of the crop to
the cutting cylinder.
