General Operations
_ A caution _
Be sure to reduce the volume level before
shutting off the Ignition key or turning the
units power off. The unit remembers its last
volume setting and may impair your hearing
or cause damage to the unit when turned on
at a loud volume setting.
The clock is displayed when the ignition key is
turned to the ACC (accessory) or IGN (ignition-
on) positions, even if the power to the unit is off.
In some cars, the clock display may momentari¬
ly disappear when the ignition key is turned to
the START (starter engage) position. The dis¬
play will reappear after the engine has started
and the ignition key is released to the IGN (igni¬
tion-on) position.
Turning en/off the power
Note:
' Use caution while operating the unit for tong periods
of time without running the car's engine. Draining the
car's ba ttery wilt prevent you from starting the car and
may possibly shorten the life of the battery.
1) Press the POWER button 04].
2) The illumination and display on the unit light
up. The unit remembers its last operation
made and will automatically switch to display
that mode.
3) Press and hold the POWER button @4] for 1
second or longer to turn off the power to the
unit.
Selecting a mode
1) Press the FUNC button 04] to change the
mode of operation.
2) The mode changes in the following order:
Radio mode ^ CD mode Radio mode
Adjusting the Volume
Select up or down to increase or decrease using
the a-selector \2\
♦ Selecting up or down button and holding for 1
second or longer on the a-selector [2] contin¬
uously increase or decrease the volume
respectively.
Adjusting the audio mode (use the
a - selector)
Press the A-M button 03] to select the adjust¬
ment mode. Each time you press the button, the
item changes in the following order:
Bass/Treble Balance/Fader -4 Mode display...
* The display automatically changes back to the mode
display within 7 seconds after adjusting, or if no
adjustment is made. Press the A-M button 03] again
to select the desired mode if further adjustment is
required.
Adjusting the tone
Select “BA:Ti* (bass/treb) adjustment in the dis¬
play.
•BASS adjustment (step -6 to +6)
Select right or left («, ► >) to increase or
decrease.
•TREB adjustment (step -6 to >6)
Select up or down (A,V) to increase or
decrease.
Adjusting the balance (step L9 to R9)
1) Select 4 BL:Fd“ (balance/fader) adjustment in
the display.
2) Select right or left (« ► >) to balance the
right or left sound level.
Adjusting the fader (step F9 to R9)
1) Select > BL:F<f (balance/fader) adjustment in
the display.
2) Select up or down { ▲ , ▼ ) to balance the
front or rear of the vehicle.
