Inserting or removing a battery pack
CAUTION To prevent loss of information when removing a battery pack that is the sole power
source, initiate hibernation or turn off the computer before removing the battery pack.
NOTE Battery packs vary in appearance by model.
To insert a battery pack:
1. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface, with the battery bay toward you.
2. Slide the battery pack (1) into the battery bay until it is seated.
The battery pack release latches (2) automatically lock the battery pack into place.
To remove a battery pack:
1. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface, with the battery bay toward you.
2. Slide the battery pack release latch on the right (1) and then the battery pack release latch on the
left (2) to release the battery pack.
NOTE You can also slide both battery pack release latches at the same time.
