Air Filter .....
To avoid serious personal injury, always turn your
trimmer off and allow it to cool before you clean or
service it.
Clean and re-oit the air filter every 10 hours of operation.
It is an important item to maintain. Failure to maintain the
air filter will VOID the warranty.
1. Remove the carburetor/air filter cover by pushing on
the tab on top of the cover (Fig. 6-9).
Remove the air filter (Fig. 6-10).

Wash the filter in detergent and water. Rinse the
filter thoroughly and allow it to dry.
Apply enough clean SAE 30 motor oil to lightly coat
the filter (Fig. 6-11).
Squeeze the filter to spread and remove excess oil
(Fig. 6-11}.
ReinstalI the filter (Fig. 6-10} and air filter cover
(Fig. 6-9).
NOTE: If the unit is operated without the air filter, you
will VOID the warranty.

facing forward, in this position, the starter rope is to
