meterdisplay(tenths of an hour- rightmostdigit). The monitor
alsohasfourindicatorlights thatshowthe statusof various
functionsof thetractor.

Thesystemindicator monitorfeaturesare as follows:
LCDHourMeterDisplay
Thehour meterdisplay is activatedwhen the keyswitch is
turnedtoeither the "NORMALMOWING"or the "REVERSE
CAUTIONMODE"switchpositions. Whenthe key switch is
turnedtoan on position, the battery indicator lightbriefly
illuminatesand the battery voltage is briefly displayed.The
displaythen changesto the accumulatedhours.
NOTE:A record of the actual hours of operationshould be kept
to assuremaintenanceproceduresare completedaccording to
the schedulein this manual.
TheIndicatorMonitorwill alsoremindtheoperatorof main-
tenanceintervalsfor changingthe engineoil. The LCDwill
alternatelyflash the recordedhours,"CHG"and"OIL"forfive
minutes,after every50 hoursof recordedoperationelapse.The
maintenanceintervallastsfor twohours (from50-52,100-102,
150-152,etc.). The LCDwill flashas describedfor five minutes
everytimethetractor'sengineis startedduringthis maintenance
interval.Followtheoil changeintervalsprovidedin the engine
manualthis the Maintainingyour Tractorsection of this Manual.
Battery Indicator Light
Illuminateswhenthe ignitionswitchit turnedto an ON positionand
theengineis notstarted.
Illuminatesto indicatethe batteryvoltagehas droppedbelow11.5
(+0.5/-1.0)DCvolts(thebatteryvoltageisalsodisplayedon the
hourmeter).Ifthisindicatoranddisplaycomeon duringoperation,
checkthebatteryandchargingsystemforpossiblecausesand/or
contactyourCubCadetdealer.
Oil PressureIndicatorLight
Thiswarninglampindicateslowengineoilpressure.If this
indicatorilluminates,stopthe tractorimmediatelyandcheckthe
engineoil level.If theoil levelis withintheoperatingrange,butthe
lightremainson, contactyourCubCadetdealer.NOTE:Theoil
pressureindicatormayilluminatewhenthekeyswitchis turnedto
an onposition,but shouldturn offwhenthe engineis started.
PTOEngagedIndicator Light
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthe keyswitchisturnedtothe
"START"positionwhilethe PTOswitchis inthe "ENGAGED"
position.Checkthisindicatorif the enginewill notcrankwiththe
keyswitchinthe "START"position.Movethe PTOswitchto the
"DISENGAGED"position.
BrakeEngaged Indicator
Thisindicatorilluminateswhenthe keyswitchisturnedtothe
"START"positionandthe brakepedalis notfullydepressed.Check
thisindicatoriftheenginewillnotcrankwiththe keyswitchin the
"START"position.Ifnecessary,fullydepressthebrakepedal._
Throttle Control Lever
Thethrottlecontrollevercontrolsthe speed
oftheengine.Whensetin a givenposition,
thethrottlewillmaintaina uniformengine
speed.
IMPORTANT:Whenoperatingthe tractor
withthecuttingdeckengaged,throttle
controllevermustalwaysbe inthe FAST
(rabbit)position.

Key Switch Module
Thekeyswitchmoduleisusedto
startand stopthe engine.Itis also
usedtoactivatetheREVERSE
CAUTIONMODE.Insertkeyinto
thekeyswitchmoduleandturn
clockwisetotheSTARTposition.
Releasethe keyinto the NORMAL
MOWINGpositiononceengine
hasstarted.
Tostoptheengine,turntheignitior
keycounterclockwiseto the STOP
position.
I,_ ARNING:Neverleavea runningmachine
lunattended.AlwaysdisengagePTO,moveshift
Ileverintoneutralposition,setparkingbrake,stop
lengineandremovekeyto preventunintended
_starting.
