AIR CLEANER ELEMENT INSPECTION
CAUTION
●Do not use gasoline or other ma-
terials having a low ignition point
as this can be a fire hazard.
●If the air cleaner element is in-
adequately assembled, dust and
other waste materials can directly
enter the engine. This results in
increased cylinder wear and redu-
ced power, and reduced durability
of the engine.
●When washing the vehicle, be
careful not to allow water to get
into the air cleaner.
Difficulties in starting the engine
may result if this happens.
●If the engine start is failed during
rain or after driving across water
pool, check to see if the water is
infiltrated in the air cleaner and
clean it.
●Do not drive in the flooded area. If
the water enters the air cleaner or
engine, the vehicle may be
subjected to the rear-end collision
due to the power failure.
