Replacing the battery-status
light cable

NOTE: The battery-status light cable is an assembly that includes LED
indicators and a digital-array microphone.
Procedure
1 Using the alignment posts, place the battery-status light cable on the palm-rest
assembly.
2 Route the battery-status light cable through the routing guides and adhere it to
the palm-rest assembly.
3 Adhere the tape that secures the battery-status light cable to the palm-rest
assembly.
4 Slide the battery-status light cable into the battery-status light cable connector
and close the latch to secure the cable.
5 Adhere the tape that secures the battery-status light cable to the keyboard-
controls board.
Post-requisites
1 Replace the battery.
2 Replace the base cover.
