2.3 Installation Conditions
Operating Temperature
ASDA-A&A+ Series Servo Drive : 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F)
ECMA Series Servo Motor : 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F)
The ambient temperature of servo drive for long-term reliability should be under 45°C (113°F).
If the ambient temperature of servo drive is greater than 45°C (113°F), please install the drive in a well-
ventilated location and do not obstruct the airflow for the cooling fan.
Caution
The servo drive and motor will generate heat. If they are installed in a control panel, please ensure sufficient
space around the units for heat dissipation.
Pay particular attention to vibration of the units and check if the vibration has impacted the electric devices in
the control panel. Please observe the following precautions when selecting a mounting location. Failure to
observe the following precautions may void the warranty!
îš„ Do not mount the servo drive or motor adjacent to heat-radiating elements or in direct sunlight.
îš„ Do not mount the servo drive or motor in a location subjected to corrosive gases, liquids, or airborne
dust or metallic particles.
îš„ Do not mount the servo drive or motor in a location where temperatures and humidity will exceed
specification.
îš„ Do not mount the servo drive or motor in a location where vibration and shock will exceed specification.
îš„ Do not mount the servo drive or motor in a location where it will be subjected to high levels of
electromagnetic radiation.
