Deactivation / Activation
The function is activated automatically when the
ignition is switched on.
The function is deactivated and activated by
pressing this button.
The button indicator lamp lights up to confirm
deactivation of the function.
Detection
If an unexpected change of direction is
detected, this warning lamp flashes in the
instrument panel accompanied by an audible
signal.
No warning is transmitted while the direction
indicator is activated and for approximately 20
seconds after the direction indicator is switched
off.
Driver Attention Alert by
camera
Using a camera placed at the top of the
windscreen, the system assesses the
driver's level of vigilance, fatigue or distraction by
identifying variations in trajectory compared to
the lane markings.
This system is particularly suited to fast roads
(speed higher than 40 mph (65km/h)).
At a first-level alert, the driver is warned by the
“Take care!” message, accompanied by an audible
signal.
After three first-level alerts, the system triggers
a further alert with the message "Dangerous
driving: take a break", accompanied by a more
pronounced audible signal.
DS Driver Attention Monitoring
In versions offering this function, an
additional (infrared) camera is fitted on
the steering column, behind the steering wheel, to
monitor driver behaviour.
The camera analyses, firstly, the direction of the
driver's gaze and head to assess their distraction
level and, secondly, the closing of their eyelids to
assess the level of their vigilance and attention.
When the vigilance level (distraction or loss of
attention) is low, the system emits an alert.
With the “Personal” display mode of the digital
instrument panel, the driver can select the
permanent display of the “Vigilance level”
diagram so that they can monitor this information
in real time.
The function activates over 16 mph (25
km/h).
The distraction or loss of attention
detection system may be impaired or may
not work, especially in the following
conditions:
– system’s camera field of vision blocked or
obstructed.
– wearing certain types of spectacles or
sunglasses that are very dark or reflective.
– face partially covered (by your hand, hair,
etc.).
– unusual or incorrect driving position.
In no case shall the Manufacturer be held
liable in the event of alerts not being given or
for consequences associated with the use of
this system.
Lane Departure Warning
System
Refer to the General recommendations on the use
of driving and manoeuvring aids.
This system, using a camera which recognises
solid or broken lines, detects the involuntary
crossing of longitudinal traffic lane markings on
the ground.
If the driver's attention drops and the speed
is higher than 37 mph (60km/h), the system
triggers a warning if there is an unexpected
change of direction.
This system is particularly useful on motorways
and main roads.
