Use the Front Panel
The front panel of the printer provides the controls you need to operate the printer. Refer to the
printer’s User’s Guide for complete information about using the front panel.
Run the QuickInstaller
The QuickInstaller is an easy-to-use install wizard that allows you to set up your printer. The
QuickInstaller is located on the flash drive that is shipped with the printer in the accessories tray.
Use the QuickInstaller to install the Card Printer Driver or Instant ID™ (formally TruCredential™)
Suite Software, and set up a USB or network connection, depending on your site requirements.
1. Insert the flash drive in a USB port of your computer.
2. Double-click Launch QuickInstaller.
3. Follow the instructions in the QuickInstaller to finish setting up your printer.
When the QuickInstaller completes, it launches the Printer Dashboard, which allows you to
manage your printer. Refer to “Set Up an Administrator in the Printer Dashboard”. The
QuickInstaller also places a shortcut to the Printer Dashboard on the computer desktop.
Set Up an Administrator in the Printer Dashboard
The Printer Dashboard is a web-based printer management tool. You can access the Printer
Dashboard using one of the following methods:
 Enter the printer’s IP address in a browser window. For example, https://12.3.45.678.
 Scan the QR code on the printer front panel with a mobile device when the printer IP address
is displayed (refer to the printer’s User’s Guide for more information).
 Double-click the Printer Dashboard icon on the computer desktop.
