Close the left-side maintenance cover.
Cleaning Around the Caps
Before starting this procedure, be sure to read the
following:
U “Precautions regarding maintenance” on page 59
Cleaning Caps

Open the right-side maintenance cover.

Dampen the cleaning stick with ink cleaner.
U “Using the ink cleaner” on page 60

Hold the cleaning stick flat and wipe the edges
of all the caps.
Caps have 2 blocks. Clean all of the caps.

Important:
When using a cleaning stick or tweezers, do
not touch the inside of the cap and do not
push strongly against the edges or the
surrounding area of the cap. The part maybe
deformed, and it may no longer be possible
to perform capping correctly.
