3.4 Optional Accessories
3.4.1 Pressure Sensor Module
The GTX 3x5 is designed to use an optional pressure sensor module for use as the transponder pressure
altitude input. The pressure sensor module mounts directly to the GTX 3x5 rear connector panel and
connects to the aircraft static pressure system. The pressure sensor module replaces the configuration
module.
3.4.2 GPS Antenna
A GPS antenna is required for the GTX 335 and GTX 345 with the internal GPS option. For information
about antenna selection and part numbers, see section 1.12.
3.4.3 GA 35 Antenna
Antenna includes four 8-32 UNC-2A x 1.00" SS 303 mounting screws and one O-ring.
An antenna doubler may also be required. Refer to appropriate antenna installation data.
To secure the antenna, four #8 washers and four #8 self-locking nuts are required. Suitable nut plates may
be secured to the doubler. Torque the four supplied #8-32 stainless steel screws 12-15 in-lbs. To avoid
deformation of the mounting area, torque should be evenly applied across all mounting screws.
To connect the GPS antenna coax cable, a TNC plug is required.
