4.2 Twin-head pumps with relay module
The two terminal boxes are connected via a four-
core cable.

The relay module has a signal output for the
connection of a transmitter for external operating or
fault indication or for the control of the alternating
operation of pump 1 and 2.
By means of a selector switch the signal output can
be set to activation during:
All pumps with relay module incorporate a green and
a red indicator light. The function of the two indicator
lights and the signal output is shown in the following
table.
Three operating modes are available:
• Alternating operation (factory setting).
The pumps operate alternately as duty and
standby pump.
• Standby operation. One pump operates
constantly as duty pump and the other constantly
as standby pump.
• Single-pump operation. The pumps operate
independently of each other.
Note: If the pumps are to run simultaneously,
they must be set to the same speed.
Otherwise the non-return flap will close off the
pump running at the lowest speed.
